Funeral Costs and Burial Services for Our Mom

UPDATE: Thank you guys so much for the overwhelming support. I want to thank every single one of you who have donated and shared. We were able to pick the most beautiful plot for my moms resting place thanks to you all. She would have loved it. I can’t even describe how much this means to us and especially me. Hi everyone, my name is Lucy Pawlowicz. If you have been my friend or even know me, you have known my family has been going through a devastating battle these past five years.

 My mom, Mary Jane Pawlowicz, got diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017. In 2020, she got put on hospice because the cancer metastasized. We have watched our mom go through hell and back. There is no way to describe how difficult and it was to see cancer take my mom. Today, October 9th 2023, around 10:00 am, my mom passed away peacefully in her sleep due to the complications of cancer. We are devastated to lose her, but watching her suffer so horribly for so long we are happy that she’s at peace. She was our bestfriend and a great mother.

This Go Fund Me is to help me and my three siblings give my mom the funeral and burial she deserves after such a painful battle. I, Lucy, am 24, and I am active in the Toledo music scene. You might’ve seen or known me from working at House of Dow or serving you drinks at the Ottawa Tavern. My brother Alex Pawlowicz, 27, was a caregiver for our mom and works hard at a steel plant in Toledo. My sister Shelby Pawlowicz is 14, she’s a freshman in Highschool and loves music and her family. My brother Justin Paul Irwin, 32, just welcomed a beautiful baby boy JP in this world two months ago along with having a beautiful little girl Marley. My dad passed away in 2004 due to heart conditions and im happy that they’re reunited somewhere.

 The cost of having a funeral and burial will be hard on us because of our ages and loss of both parents. If you have even a dollar or anything to spare it would mean the world to us and ease the burden of burying our mother. Any money left over from services and burial will go towards legal fees and to help take care of our sister Shelby. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to read this and supporting my family.
