Funeral Cost for Sharif Abdelsalam
Donation protected
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raj’ioun
We mourn the loss of a beloved young child, Sharif Abdelsalam, who died on Friday October 7th, 2022. Sharif was only 14 years old.
Sharif was a fun-loving and very creative young man. He was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and attended Taft High School, where he was on the Speech and Debate Team. Sharif had a passion for writing, especially poetry.
We pray to Allah (swt) to grant Sharif mercy, forgiveness, and Jannah. We pray that Allah grant his father, Ashraf, and his younger brother, Gibril, strength and patience as they deal with this difficult loss. We hope that they find comfort in the Quran and support from the community.
Sharif regularly attended the Quran Institute and could be found running around the Masjid from an early age with his younger brother, whom he loved and cared for a lot. He studied the Quran with Qari Taleb and memorized three juz.
We are asking the community to help cover funeral expenses and establish a fund to cover temporary living expenses for his father and brother. This tremendous loss will have a lasting impact on them. Although no amount of money will heal broken hearts or provide answers, we hope this fund will give the family some comfort and financial ease. Any contribution will be beneficial, and of course your du'as are also what is needed most.
Sharif’s death has impacted many of us in the community. We saw him grow up in front of us at the Masjid and play in the parking lot along with our own children. May Allah (swt) protect him from the trials of the grave and the hereafter. May Allah (swt) accept from him all his good deeds and forgive his shortcomings. May He enter Sharif into Jannah through his infinite mercy and reunite him again one day with his father and brother. Verily, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
Every soul shall have a taste of death: And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense. (Qur’an 3:185)
Jazaka’Allah khair for your generous support.
