Remembering Marquise Dukes
Donation protected
Hello, my Name is Zari, and I’m from Statesville, NC. On May 26, 2019, God took home the most brilliant, kind, talented, and loving young man. We’re all mourning the sudden loss of a wonderful son, an amazing brother, and the most caring friend.
Marquise was my brother and my family adored him. Especially my mother, Tyana Bailey-Hancock. My mom has always treated Quise as if he was her own son and she’s also a former teacher at North Iredell high school . The majority of the donations have come from teachers, former students and students that are currently attending NIHS.
If you knew Marquise, you would know his smile was infectious, his laugh contagious and his presence appreciated. Marquise was easy to get to know and even easier to love.
This was such an unexpected tragedy and funds are very limited right now. Quise has to have, he DESERVES to have, the best home going service that we can give him. So if you can give anything at all... it would be so appreciated. And if you can’t give anything, please keep his family in your prayers.
The money will be spent on the casket, burial, embalming and other basic service fees that are associated with funeral expenses. All of the proceeds will be given to his mother Freda Sherman. My mother will personally give Freda the donated funds in the form of a certified check with the amount of donations after paying the GoFundMe fee’s.
