Our little brother Jovani has recently passed on 9/11/2019. Jovani was a brother like no other, he always knew how to make us laugh and smile when we were just not in a mood. His gorgeous smile is so charismatic and made everyone happy. He was a boy who touched the lives of those around him who always wore a smile no matter what. Everyone loved him. He leaves behind my sister Kayla and I, and our mother who will never be the same without him. If you know us you know where there was one, there was all of us right behind.
Jovani lost his life the night of September 11th in a tragic accident near Gulf Fwy/Griggs area. He was the victim of involuntary manslaughter. Although his life was not meant to be taken by someone, we will never be able to see our brother do things that we expect to see as older sisters. I wanted to see him graduate, get married, have babies live his life to the fullest and in a split second we lost all of that.
We are all devastated by Jovani’s death and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Jovani the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
I am currently asking for donations to help my mother cover the cost of Jovani’s funeral. We need to raise 20,000 by Sunday September 22nd, 2019 in order to be able to afford the funeral service. Our mom and dad unfortunately do not have the funds to afford our brothers funeral since a parent never imagines having to outlive their youngest child. Our mother is a single parent and as much as our dad would like to help is not able to help financially due to him being in another country.
