Funeral Cost for Dustin McMahon

Tragically the other day, our cousin, Pam faced every parents worst nightmare. She lost her son Dustin in a needless act of violence. While this loss is unthinkable for any of us, it is compounded by the fact that it comes no less than 4 years after losing another child in a terrible accident. Pam’s grace, love and fortitude has been tested in ways that none of us would wish upon our worst enemy. As you might imagine there are no words for times like these and no way to wrap your mind around the depth of the loss the family has endured. This is not something anyone can ever be prepared for, let alone be expected to have the resources needed to take care of unimaginable things like funeral services, etc. Pam and the family have been through more than any person should ever have to and while many of us want to express our thoughts and prayers, love and sorrow it’s impossible for us to know how. There is no blueprint for how you’re supposed to respond to situations like these. It does not follow the natural order of our world. Mothers are not supposed to have to grieve any of their children, let alone two in such a short period of time. We ask that you consider making a donation in the honor and memory of both Pam’s son’s Dustin and Devin to help the family offset the costs of this horrific tragedy. Every bit helps and while it does nothing to wash away any of the grief or pain, it goes a long way to easing the additional stress that often follows unexpected losses.
