Final Arrangements - Marilyn Ayala Mendez

It is with deep sadness that our family is asking for this kind of support. Our crazy, fun spirited, BIG HEARTED, wildly loud mother Marilyn, has taken a huge turn in her health and has very little time left with us on earth. She has been under hospice care in Connecticut with our oldest sister, Luz, for a little over a month. As hard as it may be to say that, we knew as a family that she needed this kind of care and support due to her existing and debilitating illnesses. 

We didn’t expect this turn to happen this suddenly, as she has had quite the slope of decline in the past and then returns back to a normal baseline. With that said, our family is seeking any support and prayers as we prepare for what is to come. 

Our mothers final wish is to be laid to rest next to her mother (our grandmother) in Tampa. While we thought we had enough time as a family to compile the needed funds for this and began to prepare her return home, we truly do not.

Please pray for peace and comfort that our mother will not endure any pain and has a peaceful passing. I know our mother is thankful for all 7 of her children she’s raised, along with many of her grandchildren whom she helped raise and loves endlessly. 

Our hearts are heavy and shattered
Our world is crumbling, but our God does not fail us and does not give us a battle we cannot handle
