Hello Friends and Family,
We have started a GoFundMe to help Vanessa’s family with the unexpected expenses they are incurring. Our beautiful Vanessa passed away in a tragic accident, leaving friends and family utterly heartbroken. Vanessa has touched the lives of so many individuals throughout her life. The touching stories shared though Facebook by her family, friends and students are a true testament of Vanessa’s kind and giving heart. Her light is shining through the individuals she affected in a positive way, many of whom state they would not be where they are if it were not for Vanessa’s genuine concern.
Vanessa had been living in Missouri with her sister along with her nieces and nephew. She was excited to start teaching full-time in the Fall. Vanessa would soon be starting a new chapter in her life surrounded by what she most loved, teaching and connecting with her new “kiddos.”
Vanessa’s mom is currently in Missouri trying to figure things out and will remain there for an indefinite amount of time before returning to El Paso. The family is regrouping in the aftermath of Vanessa’s death and are trying to cope with the thought of a life without Vanessa.
The family has recently expressed that they need time to mourn the death of their beloved Vanessa. As of now, formal services will not be held, but a Celebration of Vanessa’s Life will be determined at a later date. In the meantime, we ask that the family’s wishes are respected, and that we give them the time and space they need to begin to heal.
Your generous donation will help the family with these untimely expenses and with the Memorial/Celebration of Vanessa’s Life. The family appreciates all of the love, support, and kind words being shared about our beloved Vanessa.
