In 2022, a young girl came to Canada with big dreams and hope for a better future. She moved to Ontario to study, worked hard, and successfully completed her education. Like many international students, she faced challenges far from home—new responsibilities, pressure, and the quiet weight of being away from family—but she continued to move forward with strength.

In early 2026, while going through a very difficult period emotionally, she came to Surrey, British Columbia, hoping for some peace and support. Tragically, on January 12, 2026, she passed away. Her loss has left her family, friends, and community completely heartbroken.

She was someone’s daughter, someone’s pride, and someone who was deeply loved. Her family is overseas and is now facing unimaginable pain along with unexpected financial burdens. We are raising funds to help with funeral arrangements and to respectfully send her body back to her family so they can see her one last time and perform the final rites according to their traditions.

Gurdwaras, community members, and charities have come forward to help, but the total expenses are very high, and every contribution matters. Even a small donation will help ease the burden on her grieving family during this devastating time.
