Funeral Arrangements for Kim Saxon

Donation protected
I had hoped I would never need to write these sentences, but life forces us into situations we aren't always ready for.

Kim was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in 2016, discovered she had Renal Cancer during the treatment for that, but managed to achieve remission within several years.

In the summer of 2019, Kim purchased her home on June 17 and found out several days later she had Leukemia as a result of the breast cancer treatments. She began intensive chemotherapy, and she eventually received a Bone Marrow Transplant in January of 2020.

The years following the bone marrow transplant were challenging. She was freqnelty in and out of the hospital for extended stays, had complication from Graft-Vs-Host Disease (her body fighting against the donor blood), and had extreme fatigue.

In the summer of 2021, she fell and hit her head, and several weeks later discovered an abscess. These were even further complicated by an infection in her stomach. The infection was getting out of control and every medication that would be prescribed had even further complications to deal with. In early October, she was moved to the ICU and on October 7th she needed to be put on a ventilator. Her organs began shutting down shortly after and the staff helped make her as comfortable as possible.

She was surrounded by her children and the hospital chaplain who prayed over her as she passed at 11:30 pm on October 7th.

It was Kim's wishes to be buried, but she was unable to ever get a life insurance policy due to the pre-existing conditions of her previous cancer diagnoses when she began her career.

In order to provide her wishes, the family is in need of donations at this time. We had hoped it would not get to this point, but we are so thankful for the outpouring of love and support from our friends and family.

Thank you all tremendously for everything you have provided. The hope and peace it provides to the family is immeasurable.
