Funeral Arrangements for Bobbie Jo
Donation protected

During the week of September 16th, our sister, Bobbie Jo, fell ill. During this time, she endured what we are finding out was an infection in her blood. She experienced “confusion” and at times incoherent tendencies. Her body began what some may call “shock.” At that time, body organs that have extreme importance with our bodily function begin to also shut down. She lost all control of her bowels and bladder. This is what led to hospitalization. That same night, before her arrival at the hospital, she was awake and somewhat responsive. Within two hours, she was being intubated. They did multiple scans and tests that were showing all signs of septic shock in the body. She had blood clots in her kidneys, liver, spleen, lungs, and her brain. Due to the massive amount of clotting, blood thinners were given for treatment. One rare side effect of the blood thinners is bleeding. Unfortunately, this happened within Bobbie’s brain. Not only this, but it was an extremely excessive amount of blood. Bobbie was then moved to the ICU Critical Care Unit and monitored. They began tests to determine any brain activity due to being non-responsive to any tests. Here is where determination you all know as “brain dead” comes from. This led to an extensive Nuclear Brain Scan to detect any sign of brain activity and blood flow. After a night of holding onto hope, our family was given the news around 11 am on September 21st that Bobbie was declared legally brain dead. As our family heard of the news, we immediately started preparation that we were never prepared enough for. Here on September 22nd at 7:41 pm, Bobbie left this earth to be renewed with a new healthy body.
As a family, we never expected this so suddenly and are not prepared. As for Bobbie’s living and expensive situation, Bobbie was unemployed. There was no insurance or any assistance for this circumstance. We are asking for any source of help that can be given for the circumstances. Bobbie left behind 3 beautiful children and a family who honors her memory forever.
Anything can help.
Thank you, Shonna, Sophia, Shana, and family
