Funeral and Transport Rachid back home.

Hello,

My name is Diana I am the step-daughter of Rachid Assas, he has been in my life for the past 24 years ever since he and my mother married when I was 6 years old. Rachid has always been a great father figure to me, he has always cared for me, protected me just as if I was his own. He introduced me to his amazing culture, their food and their language. I am honored to have met such an amazing man and his sudden passing away has left us empty hearted.

Rachid was a brain injury survivor from an assault that happened in 2016 in Chicago, Illinois. Unfortunately, he unexpectedly passed away on November, 24, 2021. He leaves behind a wife and family in the United States, mother, brothers and sisters back home in Algiers, Algeria.

The funds raised in this campaign will help his wife Angelica Assas send his body back home to his family in Algiers.
