What should have been a happy day for Alex and his family and friends end in tragedy instead. Alex was murdered after he, his mother, and girlfriend returned to his mother and stepfather's home from a court appointment where he was awarded physical custody of his 2 sons by his estranged wife. The person responsible for this is his estranged wife's boyfriend. (He is now in custody.) Instead of planning a celebration, Alex's family is now planning a funeral. Alex did not have life insurance. He was working and had plans to start school in the near future to further his education. He was starting a new life and his primary focus was his children and his relationship with his girlfriend, family, and friends.

Alex not only leaves behind a mother, stepfather, younger brother, and a girlfriend, and other family and friends.....but he also leaves behind 3 very young boys who he lived and ultimately died for.

Part of this fundraiser is to assist with the costs of Alex's final arrangements. His mother plans to have a service for his family and friends, and for Alex to be cremated. The rest of the funds are to help set something up for his 3 boys so they may have a start on building for the future he wanted them to have.

Alex's mother, Suz McKoy, is the beneficiary of this fundraiser and all funds will be handled by her.
