Funeral and Memorial for Migdalia Roach

In May 2023, the Friday before Mother’s Day weekend, my mother received a call from the doctor saying they found two masses on her spine and was advised to return to Houston, TX immediately as they believed it may be cancerous.

On May 23, 2023, she was hospitalized and the excruciating journey began. She was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma stage 4. This cancer is known to affect the skin but it took on another role and spread internally throughout her body which affected many of her vital organs. Even though a plan was put into place, after numerous surgeries, that she overcame, and treatment, this cancer had no mercy and it was so aggressive and far gone, she passed on August 4, 2023.

We greatly appreciate the outpouring of support, calls, and messages and have created this GoFundMe as an outlet for the numerous requests to assist. The funds will be used for Migdalia’s funeral arrangements.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered.  Migdalia’s funeral date is pending, it will be posted as soon as it can arrangements are final.  Any tributes and pictures can be forwarded to [email redacted].
