Jolene “Jojo” Gardner and her 9-year-old daughter Payton Castillo, were both tragically killed by a drunk driver on January 1st, 2019 around 1am. The family was heading home from a New Years party on the 22-Freeway in Orange County, when their vehicle was suddenly struck. This campaign is raising money to apply 100% towards funeral costs and memorial services for both Jojo and Payton’s services. They are survived by father Danny Castillo, and brothers Christian and Logan Castillo. The family thanks everyone for their help and support during such difficult times .
This Go-Fund me has been set up by Danny Castillo (Paytons Father/Jojo's Husband) & Rick Perez who is a friend of both families, and best-man at Jojo's / Danny's wedding. We established the account to help pay for the unexpected costs associated with the memorial and funerals of the girls. As you can imagine, this was completely unexpected and left both families financially unprepared. We have established a separate bank account for the funds that will be utilized exclusively for the expenses associated with the burials, wake, and memorial reception. If there are funds left over after paying all direct expenses, we will be establishing accounts for education and to help Danny with the increased burden of raising Paytons 2-brothers on his own.
