Funeral and Memorial for Jesus Carrillo-Garcia

My father Jesus was a strong and passionate family man, a good friend to others, and a hard worker. He was loved by every individual that crossed his path and welcomed many into his life and home with open arms. My grandmother told me how she came about naming my father and the significance it held. He was born prematurely and there was doubt that he would make it; he survived, and it was decided his name was to be “Jesus”. As a family man, he made sure his family was well taken care of and did everything in his power to give us a better life. He was always kind to my mother and loved her over the 35 years they spent together. One of his biggest passions was soccer. He was the biggest Chivas fan I knew; he cheered for El Tri and cried for “No era penal”. Not only was he my father, but he was also my hero and the person I will strive to make proud.
On March 22nd, 2020, he was taken from us as a victim of Covid-19 and passed all alone, due to quarantines. My father was proud to be a US citizen but, he always expressed how he wished to be with his mother and father when he passed. As a family, we decided to divide his remains. Half will be sent to the family Mausoleum in Guadalajara and the other half will remain here in Las Vegas with us. With these funds, we plan on covering our expenses for my father’s cremation, travel to his final resting places, and to give him a proper memorial when things clear up. Any remaining funds will be given to my mother for assistance in this difficult time. We kindly ask for help in giving my father the proper goodbye he deserves. Thank you.
Mi padre Jesús era un hombre de familia fuerte y apasionado, un buen amigo de los demás y un gran trabajador. Fue amado por cada individuo que se cruzó en su camino y recibió a muchos en su vida y en su hogar con los brazos abiertos. Mi abuela me contó cómo llegó a nombrar a mi padre y la importancia que tenía. Nació prematuramente y había dudas de que lo lograría; él sobrevivió, y se decidió que su nombre era "Jesús". Como hombre de familia, se aseguró de que su familia estuviera bien cuidada e hizo todo lo que estuvo a su alcance para brindarnos una vida mejor. Siempre fue amable con mi madre y la amó durante los 35 años que pasaron juntos. Una de sus mayores pasiones era el fútbol. Era el mayor fanático de Chivas que conocía; aplaudió a El Tri y lloró por "No era penal". No solo fue mi padre, sino que también fue mi héroe y la persona que me esforzaré por enorgullecerme.
El 22 de marzo de 2020, fue un víctima de Covid-19 y falleció solo, debido a las cuarentenas. Mi padre estaba orgulloso de ser ciudadano de los Estados Unidos, pero siempre expresó cómo deseaba estar con su madre y su padre cuando falleciera. Como familia, decidimos dividir sus restos. La mitad será enviada al Mausoleo familiar en Guadalajara y la otra mitad se quedará aquí en Las Vegas con nosotros. Con estos fondos, planeamos cubrir nuestros gastos para la cremación de mi padre, viajar a sus lugares de descanso final y darle un memorial adecuado cuando las cosas se aclaren. Los fondos restantes se le darán a mi madre para asistencia en este momento difícil. Le pedimos amablemente ayuda para darle a mi padre el adiós que se merece. Gracias.
