Funeral and Memorial Expenses for Rick Parsons
Donation protected
On October 31st 2021, Richard L. Parsons II, lost his life due to carbon monoxide poisoning after a devastating fire broke out in the Minneapolis home where he lived and was sleeping the night before. MFD crews removed his body from the active fire, performed CPR, and rushed him to the Hennepin County Medical Center ER. He remained on life support in critical care for close to 24 hours before passing at 3:23 a.m.
Richard’s family (who’d traveled from three different states, respectively) were already gathered in Minneapolis the night before the fire broke out. Richard’s father (the late Richard Parsons Sr.) was to be commemorated by the family that week after having died of Covid in June of 2020. It was the first time the entire family was able to gather since the outbreak of the pandemic.
With two sudden deaths in one family, the wave of misfortune for the Parsons has created unimaginable hardship.
Friends of Rick Jr. are working to help the Parsons recover some of the costs accrued through these unexpected tragedies.
Family members have missed several weeks of work, had to pay for unanticipated travel and lodging, in addition to the regular costs associated with death and memorial expenses.
