Hi everyone, I am fundraising to bring Cassandra home from California to Rockford and to help pay for funeral and memorial expenses. Cassandra was 28 years old and lived life to the beat of her own drum. She was a unique find, taken far too early from this world and everyone in it. She was full of character and beauty unlike anything else; she shone bright as a loving, thoughtful and admirable woman, dear to all who surrounded her: She was a sister, idolized and adored. She was a daughter, a friend, and she was everything to cherish and admire. Cassandra was a genuine, rejuvenating and overall a completely unforgettable girl who is going to forever be remembered as a passionate, original one-of-a-kind soul. She had become a wonderful dreamer who came up with grand ideas, and she worked to bring them into her colorful life. The more you knew and the more you discovered about her, the less you wanted to be apart from her. Her passions were fashion, art, period pieces, gaming, anime, Halloween, her cat Chester (her whole world) and her family & friends. She built herself a beautiful life in LA and loved everything about her life's journey. A huge part of her will forever live her dream in LA but it's time for her to come home to be laid to rest near her family. Unfortunately, earlier this week Cassandra was taken from our family way to early by a hit and run in South LA. She leaves behind not only many forever broken hearts, but also a legacy of cherished memories and infinite love. We are devastated and are still trying to figure it all out. We do not have details on services as of yet, as we are currently waiting until she can be released to be brought back home. As of right now, the timeframe is somewhere around 2 weeks.
