Our beloved friend, relative and all round hero, Karl, passed away aged just 36 after a long battle with a brain tumour.
Karl was the best, most selfless person we knew. He had a unique personality and strong beliefs - which he told us helped him come to terms with death, something that has helped his loved ones tremendously.
Karl has asked for a send off that was just like him: full of life, colour, positivity and - of course - music. He was instrumental in the local music scene, put on some amazing events and he was an incredible drummer: most recently with Carcer City.
We want to make sure we honour his wishes and give him the funeral he absolutely deserved, and to save his mum and dad having to worry about money at this difficult time. There is absolutely no obligation to donate at all - but if you would like to donate in lieu of flowers or just in his memory then that would be incredibly kind of you.
Karl has also requested tribal drumming at his funeral and so we will be asking anyone with djembe, bongos or any similar form of hand drum to bring them along so you can drum along during the final part of the service.
"The soul continues after death. For the soul, death is just another moment." - Ram Dass
As Karl would say - Love and light x
