Funeral and Medical Expenses for Chalee Xiong

Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, and uncle, Cha Lee Xiong aka Hlub Tshua Tshaj Zoo Nraug on Saturday February 6th 2021.

Never had we thought that this day will come so soon that we had to start prepping and arranging a proper traditional funeral for one of our most valued and beloved father, brother, and uncle.   Our family exhausted all options over the past few weeks as we tried to find the right treatment for his condition.  Unfortunately, the virus was far too advance and our power to fight it was diminished.  While we are still shocked at his passing, we are glad to know that he is no longer suffering. He left behind his wife, son, 2 daughters, one son in law, and 12 grandchildren. It is with sadness that we will no longer be able to see Cha Lee see his kids and grandchildren grow and create more memories.

Chalee has impacted many people's lives by helping them with paperwork, interpreting and helping the orphans reunite with their families.  He has been a board member of an organization called MINORS (Minors In Need of Resettlement). This organization provided clothing for students at 32 remote mountain schools in 7 districts of 5 provinces in northern Viet Nam. Their mission was to increase enrollment of Hmong and other highland ethnic minority children, especially girls of lower secondary age. They showed support to help advance water systems for students at 12 remote schools in 5 districts of 3 provinces of northern Viet Nam. The lack of water was one of the 4 main cause of children dropping from school.

He is passionate in music, traveling and just simply trying to enjoy life.  Most importantly, we remember him because of his unconditional love and the smiles that lightens everyone's burden off their shoulders.  Many of you have reached out asking how you can help contribute to our family during this time. We appreciate your thoughtfulness, and we ask for prayers that we may find peace concerning this tragedy. We would also appreciate monetary donations in our time of grief as we slowly make the transition in our lives without him. Your donation will help pay for Cha Lee’s funeral expenses as well as the costly hospital expenses that have accumulated over the weeks. You are also welcome to drop off your monetary gift at the funeral home during the service. The celebration of Cha Lee Xiong's life will be hosts on March 6th and 7th at the Saint Paul Funeral Home, address of 199 Plato Boulevard, Saint Paul, MN 55107. We thank you in advance for your generosity.

Chalee Xiong is survived by his beautiful wife Amy Yang, his two daughters Malia and Duabntxoo Xiong and his son Ethan Xiong.
