Funeral and Medical Expences for my Father

Donation protected

Hello,
My name is Freddy Madrill and I am a U.S. Marine Corps combat veteran. My family and I are asking you and our community for your help and support in this very difficult time.

Our family is currently struggling with the loss and financial burden incurred during a painful prolonged, and costly (out of state) hospital stay of over 100 days days.

My father, my best friend, Mr. Frederick Madrill Sr. was hospitalized on October 29th of 2020 after becoming short of breath and diagnosed with bronchitis (not Covid-19) while trying to return home from the Miami international airport.

He was rushed to the University of Miami hospital by the Miami Dade County Fire Rescue unit. He was given three separate Covid-19 tests which were all “negative”. But sadly, he contracted the virus within the hospital, ending his life due to mentioned underlying conditions.

We later learned that he actually was suffering from pneumonia. He stayed in the ICU in critical condition, on life support, and in a medically induced coma. During this time I tried to stay on top of his family’s financial obligations (loans) so that they do not lose their home & their vehicle … while tending to the needs of his bereaved wife, Lizbeth.

Back in January my family and I learned that someone had stolen my father's personal belongings from the hospital (few months back) – including his ID and bank cards, and used it to drain his accounts during the holidays to go on a personal shopping spree and leave us with a very large negative balance from lots of overdraft fees.

Without a “Power of Attorney” in place, and my own family to care for, my hands were tied as to how much more help I can provide. I am really conflicted asking for help, but it’s coming to a point that I need to ask for your support.

My father just turned 69 in January just a few weeks before his passing on February 14th 2021. He leaves behind a loving wife and family who are in need of an angel to help us further support and care for how wife (as he was her sole provider), while we struggle with the funeral arrangements, how to pay for his cremation, and to have his remains brought back to be laid to rest here in Colorado, his home. Frederick Madrill Sr. being born and raised a North Denver Native will finally be home to his beloved family.

Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers and if you or anyone you know can donate to our father's cause, you will forever be in my debt and in my dearest thoughts of gratitude.
