My name is Owen, and I had the privilege of getting to know Katya and her family during my time in Ukraine from 2015 to 2017. They have held a special place in my heart ever since. Their family later moved to the United States to leave behind the war and begin a new chapter here.

On Saturday February 14th 2026, Katya and her boyfriend were tragically taken from this world in North Carolina in a senseless act of violence. With the blessing of her family, I am helping organize this fundraiser to support funeral expenses and care for their loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

All funds will be used for funeral expenses, and transportation of Katya from North Carolina to Utah for her burial, if we can raise enough.
