Funeral and Estate Costs for Beloved Mel Felina Ancheta Jr.

As some people know, my Older Brother died unexpectedly Wednesday, August 21, 2024. I had just gone up to Oregon and Washington to visit family a few weeks go, so it was such a surprise that he passed away a couple weeks after I had just been there. Since my Mom (Luz Felina Aviles) is still alive, it has been heartbreaking for her to lose oldest son. Thank you to those who have sent condolences and/or reached out already. It means so much to us.

I'm so glad I got to see him one last time. My Brother was my cheerleader since I was a little girl until now. I will miss him so much. I'm so glad I gave him the biggest hug when we left. If I had known it was the last time, I would've hugged him harder. My heart is literally breaking.

After going through his stuff, we found that he did not have a will, so we have to wait to be able to process his estate until we get the death certificate, which is upwards of 3 weeks. And then 20-40 miminimum days afterwards to be able to settle his estate. Since I don't live here, I'll need to come back to do that. In the meantime we need to be able to cover costs to store his belongings and other assets and pay for his funeral expenses.

We are asking our dear family and friends both near and far to assist us during our time of need. We would deeply appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts. Any help and amount that you can spare would help us out tremendously.
