This site is created by and for the family of Guitar Shorty ( David Kearney) who passed away 4/20/2022 under sad circumstances. Those of us that know Shorty well and love him know what a bright generous spirit he was. There was no one quite like him.
His family has plans to spread his ashes in the places he loved best and the places that loved him, as well as create a memorial. We would also like to thank those of you who gave to another fundraiser not approved by many of his friends and family. We know your hearts were in the right place.
Lets give this Blues Legend and sweet soul the send off he deserves. There is a memorial jam planned ,but still in the works. Please check back here for info. Please also feel free to share fun Guitar Shorty stories on this site. David loved you all.
