- My name is Linda Williamson, and we are reaching out to family and friends to let you know, Our beloved young man Edwin Williamson AKA "Snookie," age 33, the Son of Sandra Cureton and Harold Edwin Williamson, was removed from life support yesterday. Today he has passed on from this life. It's a tragedy for all of us. Unknown to anyone, he'd received a severe health diagnosis months ago. He probably thought he was protecting the family and decided to deal with this life-threatening disease independently without keeping the family informed. We believe he felt that he could beat it and bounce back with youth on his side. About a week and a half ago, his mother noticed him lying around the house listlessly. She insisted they go to the ER. She was unprepared for the shocking blow she was about to receive. Snookie was in Stage 4 Lung Cancer, and the doctors said there was nothing more that they could do for him. They noticed he had already suffered a series of mini-strokes through scans and tests, and the disease had metastasized throughout his body. We were devastated. All we could do was "Keep the Faith" and Pray. Two days ago, he was airlifted to another hospital for the Surgeons to relieve the pressure on his brain from more disruptive activity (seizures). The surgery wasn't successful, and he was placed on life support, unresponsive. This wonderfully humble young man was also the father of two precious young girls. Because of the swiftness of this disease, there was no time to be prepared on any level, particularly burying him. Upon contacting his job, we found that his insurance had lapsed due to his time out for illness.
We are asking for and need help from the entire "Village" for his Funeral and Burial Services. ALL donations, large or small, will help us through this and are appreciated. Thank You
