Funeral and Burial Expenses for Janiyah Young
Donation protected
This is my 8 year old daughter Janiyah who has fought and suffered her whole short life with a progressive, rare genetic disorder called Spinal Muscular Atrophy type 1. She has been such a beautiful soul, impacting the lives of everyone she's been in contact with. She's shown me a greater purpose in life and has given me a new perspective on what that actually means. She has been my best friend, my baby and has humbled me on what it means to truly be grateful. Over the years, she's endured countless other complications as a result of her SMA and it has significantly taken a toll on her, her body and her family. She recently was admitted to the hospital for a respiratory infection, testing positive for 2 separate respiratory bacteria. She also had high blood pressure and tachycardia (high heart rate) as well, 2 new issues and neither problems the doctors could seem to find a cause for. While admitted, she underwent 2 separate operations and a femur fracture. Their only solutions were to pump her full of more medication that were only band-aids to bigger problems. She's been uncomfortable and in pain ever since. As some may know, I recently lost another one of my children to the same crippling disease and similar complications. The outcome for both of them will be relatively the same. It's a miserable decline overall and It would be unfair to her to make her suffer any more than she already has. After a long discussion with her care team, it has been decided that she be placed on hospice. The fact the she has made it this far is astounding and everyday has been cherished intensely. There's never been an easy way to come to terms with the unfortunate circumstances that inevitably are approaching. This has been the hardest few months of my life and it saddens me deeply that the time is upon us with what is happening. I am reaching out for help with the final expenses. Anyone that can help in such a time of despair, would mean a lot to us. Having to go through this a second time in a short period of time has my heart in pieces.
