No family ever plans on losing a child. I was blessed to meet, become friends with and watch Abdiel Lopez carry himself as a kind, caring, and driven kid. Abdiel was a hard working kid who had big dreams in life to make the world a better place. His whole life he worked hard to make these dreams become a reality. In 2015, Abdiel graduated from Lowell High School and went on to Fisher College where he studied Criminal Justice. After earning his Bachelor's Degree, he had planned on becoming a police officer and had an interview with the Massachusetts' State Police. Before he would be able to achieve his dreams, life had other plans for him. Unfortunately, at the age of 24 Abdiel succumbed to the disease and was taken way too soon from his family and friends. All funds raised will help to offset the funeral and burial expenses for Abdiel's family and go directly to Fay McCabe funeral home.
