I recently lost my beloved sister to an unusual Medical condition, She had felt tingling, then numbness in her hand and feet. I t moved to her tongue, then she had difficulty breathing. This started Monday, July 20th. After being ventilated that night she was coming out of it when after a physical therapy baseline she went into cardiac arrest.
She held on unit the morning of July 24th when all brain activity ceased. Kim was a very caring and fun Individual. I had helped her get her Associate of Science in Nursing degree from Lorain County Community College in 1993, helping her study , but mostly by watching and taking care of her 2 kids. Nikki and Jeremy.
We would go on day trips when we had some time and a wee bit of money, they 4 of us had grand old times at Geauga Lake, Sea World and various swimming spots through out northeast Ohio.
She would always help a friend or neighbor out, with food, or cleaning, or just a shoulder to cry on. Which we all needed in February, 2000 when we lost Jeremy to a senseless gun shot would.
She eventually moved out to, New River ,AZ in 2013 to start things a new. We have not seen her much in the last 7 years, but we did know that she found some sort of peace out there in the desert, some 2,000 miles away.
This leads us to the reason we need your help. Her daughter Nikki and I need to bring her home! In order to do this the mortuary where her body is currently, wants just under, $3,000 to cremate her as per her wishes. Once that is done, the mortuary can file the paperwork to get her legal death certificate to start the probate of her estate. We have to fly out there and back to get her priceless things, like family photos and trinkets from vacations, birthdays, and Christmas. These things are just as much a part her legacy as the house in Avon, OH where her daughter lives.
Probate can take up to several months and packing and storing her things will to effort and money. eventually we with to bring her cremanes home and put most of them next to her son, Jeremy's cremanes , in North Ridgeville, OH. Plus a van and Harley Davidson Motorcycle, once they's cleared probate.
So we are asking for you most kind and generous help in getting us through this most difficult situation. with us being over 2, 000 miles away.
