My brother Kris and his wife Christina lost their 15 year old son Cayden on August 10th due to a freak accident. Some of you may have met Cayden in his short time here and may remember his great smile and love for life. He left us too soon and we are all sort of stuck here in shock that he is no longer physically with us.
I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time with Cayden while he was growing up. Despite being his Godfather and Uncle, Cayden was like my little brother. I watched Cayden grow from a baby to a healthy and happy teenager who always had a smile on his face and was ready to come back with a quick response to whatever we’d be joking around about.
Sadly he left us last Monday and I’d like to continue being that big brother, uncle and godfather by helping keep his memory alive along with helping his parents through this terrible time as they are now left to deal with his loss and everything that comes with it. In the days ahead they will begin receiving bills for his funeral and medical expenses. I’d like to help take that stress off of them since they have enough grief already. Please take the time if you can, and help by donating whatever you are able, even if it’s the cost of a cup of coffee.
They don’t know I’m doing this but I can speak for the rest of our family that we are extremely grateful for the support. I wish you all could have met Cayden, he a was a fun kid. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Hug your loved ones and don’t take your short time here for granted.
Please share if you can. Every little bit helps.
There is a great video linked below of Cayden’s life.
