Hey, I'm Sidney Ramaekers from Blessed Sacrament Parish in Lincoln, Nebraska  and I'm discerning religious life. When I was very young I felt a gentle tug on my heart, that my life would be meant for something really special, and even though I didn't know what that something was at the time  I knew it was from God and I was very confident that it was going to be really good. A deep sense of being set apart for something great, and something different lead me to go in search of that something different. I searched in many places I thought I might find that special purpose. I was finally lead to discern a religious vocation, and after many years of struggling to find the truth the Lord revealed it to me that He indeed desired me to be set apart for Him, as His bride.

This campaign was establsihed to create a simple pathway for anyone who wishes to support me in my future call to religious life. So an extended thank you to all the family, friends, students, fellow parishioners, and all anonymous people and sponsors who have chosen to take the extra time to help me fulfill my call to God.  

The money donated will help me to further discern religious life by allowing me to live the life of a religious sister daily at Mater Redemptoris House of Formation, in La Crosse, WI. I am going to need $5,000 to help cover the costs of food and basic living expenses while I live, work, and learn with religious sisters daily. 

As my aspirancy will start on September 3, 2016 I have been asked to fundraise 5,000 dollars by the end of August. I ask you to give prayerfully and allow God to provide through you if you are able. If you are not able to give financially I am also in great need of prayers, truly  anything helps. 

I know many people have worries of where their money goes in these types of situations. But rest be assured I am completely in charge of all funds and means to getting to the funds. I will have direct access to the funds so your money will go to me in living out my vocation.

This is my call from God. It is not an easy road, but one He has asked his daughter to travel from the love of Him. By spending a year in formation I can focus completely on giving my life to God, if that be His will, in the coming years. Your support means the world to me.
