Funds to replace stolen car

On December 30th, 2023, while visiting a friend in New Orleans, my Hyundai Accent was stolen. Unfortunately, it fell victim to a viral crime trend targeting Hyundai's and Kia's, where thieves use a USB cable or a screwdriver to start and steal these cars. I had no clue my car was being targeted until it was too late.

Arriving at the spot where I parked, I found police investigating an abandoned white Hyundai left running. In the spot where I had parked my car, was broken glass. Fortunately, I managed to get security footage confirming the break-in: someone drove up in a stolen white Hyundai, left it running, and then stole my car.

As some of you may know, I am a single mom relying on only my income. When I moved back to Louisiana in 2020, I was completely starting over, and my parents graciously bought me my car outright. With only liability insurance (lesson learned), I now find myself unable to afford a new car or add a monthly car payment.

I am so humbled by having to do this! The funds raised will directly contribute to securing another vehicle. Losing my car is a massive setback. Without it, commuting my son to school as well as all the other driving errands necessary when you're a mom, will be incredibly challenging until I can find a replacement.

I've witnessed the incredible support a community can provide to someone in need, and I'm hoping for that same kindness.
