Funds to participate at the Cheer Worlds 2025

Hi my name is Chrissi and most of you probably know my story, those who don’t here is a little recap:

I started gymnastics as a baby and kept pushing myself so far that I got picked to go to the National Team Training. I decided together with my parents at the age of 11 to stop my path there and kept pushing and training every single day 3-4hours at my hometown gym.

At the age of 16 our local gymnastics club started pushing for a Cheerteam and a random Wednesday evening they asked if I’d like to stay 2hours more to be a part of it. I was hooked to say the least. Sports in a team? I found a new love.

When it was time to look for univeristies, I actually found all universities in the UK to have Cheerteams and after a week in Wales I made friends that told me to try out for an L4 AllStar Team. They put me on the mat right away. This team went L5 the year after and I qualified for my first World Championship. This was in 2017.

Worlds 2018 & 2019 happened (also had my ACL reconstruction inbetween these 2 years)

Did my Masters and came back to Luxembourg. And Covid hit…. Found a new club in Paris. Travelled every weekend to Paris to train with PC with masks and compete at the Virtual Worlds in 2021 and won the Silver Champion Medal.

I went back to Worlds in 2022, 2023 & 2024. Even competed at Summit in 2024 But slowly I can start to feel my body aging. I’ll be 30 in August of this year and I honestly don’t know if I can keep competing at this level for much longer but I decided that 2024 was not my last, I had to prove myself one more time and still dream of globing at this event and to be standing on that podium. I am giving it another go! And if you didn’t know and are still reading this (thank you btw) I am not getting any funds, nor any congé sportif as there is no Luxembourgish team going to Worlds. I am competing with the Blue Sharks from Cologne and my sports is a hobby (AKA COMPLETLY UNPAID) I need to pay for everything and have been for the last 12 years of my career since starting Cheerleading.

Signups alone for Worlds are 450€ per person, let’s not forget flights to Orlando, housing and food, and it would mean THE WORLD to me if you could spare even 1€ for my dream. I know it’s a lot to ask and I feel truly weird even doing this. But even if you can only wish me good luck and aren’t able to donate. I want to thank you for reading this and your support.
