This is me, before I became sick Hi, my name is Lisa and I am raising funds to help me get go to the University of Florida to help me with a rare neurological movement disorder called Dystonia. It causes me to have involuntary movements, as well as debilitatig dystonic storms, that causes my body to go into a frenzy. Back in 2020, I was taken to one of the local hospitals because I had fainted. I was put into ICU because my kidneys had taken a hard hit from being severely dehydrated. I was placed into ICU . Afterwards, I was placed into a regular room. Just before I was considered to be discharged from the hospital, someone gave me Covid-19. As a result, I don’t even remember asking to be placed on the ventilator. I was airlifted to another hospital because I’d had a brain bleed. I couldn’t walk nor talk. Afterward, I started having seizures, stage 4 chronic kidney disease and Dystonia. My life has totally changed. I now need 24/7 care. I need help for everything. I am in need of a van to haul my power wheelchair. Thanks to a new found friend who also suffers from Dystonia, I was told about the University of Florida. that has a department specifically for Dystonia. As I result, my Neurologist sent a referral for me to travel from Hattiesburg, MS to Gainesville, Florida to get the help that need. I pray that people will find it in their hearts to help me, financially, as it is much appreciated and needed. If there are any musicians who suffers from Dystonia, I know that you can relate to my cause. God bless everyone whose hearts are towards God and to those who will bless me financially.
