My name is Katie and I'd like to tell you about my best friend Jenn and her family, the Pattersons.  They were elated about the upcoming birth of their first child Anne, but then things changed overnight. Routine bloodwork around 30 weeks diagnosed Jennifer with blood cancer, which as you can imagine was devastating. They met the news head on and with the help of doctors and lots of prayers, Anne was born healthy last month. The new family enjoyed a few days together at home before Jennifer had to return to the hospital to begin aggressive chemotherapy.

She is currently an inpatient and hoping to be home by Christmas, but only time will tell. The future holds a bone marrow transplant and many months of recuperating, optimistically; at home with her little one and husband.

We are reaching out to raise money for gas, tolls, and parking at the hospital; as well as periodic professional house cleaning to minimize the possibility of infection.  This money would also pay any unforeseen medical bills.
