Hi, I'm Gloria and I have set this go fund for my niece to support her, get her scheduled for an Open Heart Surgery the soonest possible time.
It is a sad reality in the Philippines that if you don't have funds, you can't get proper care. You'll end up dead by the time you get helped.
Please spare a minute or two to read her message.
Hi! I’m Angie Baquiran 38 yrs old and a mother of 4 boys. Last February I was diagnosed with Peripartum Cardiomyopathy (PPCM). After giving birth thats when I found out that my lungs was filled with water causing diffuclty of breathing and an enlarged heart that has difficulties in pumping out blood to the organs. Medications were given to deal with the current condition but it wasnt enough to lessen the palpitations and other symptoms I had.
Come August I had palpitations that reached 140 bpm (normal is 60-100bpm) and blood pressure of 150/100 mmhg almost everyday that it limits everyday living and even going to work (WAH setup). Consulted with a cardiologist and several laboratory test and 2d echo were done to confirm that I have RHEUMATIC HEART DISEASE which affected the function of my valves overtime.
Discussed condition with several doctors and recommendation is to have an OPEN HEART SURGERY to replace the damaged valves in my heart ASAP.
If surgery cant be done the doctor said that I could take medication that can lessen the stress to my heart but prolonging the operation can cause even more damaged to my valves and I might even have a heart attack.
Medications and laboratory test can be covered by my health card but the cost of the operation is out of our budget and post operation needs and the needs of my kids as well.
I know that we are all going through some difficulties in our lives but I am humbly knocking on your good hearts if you could extend any amount so that we can come up for the cost of my operation.
Every help would be very much appreciated even prayers would be great. God would be returning the favor to you and your family ten folds.
