Hello everybody! I’m 22 and recently graduated college at Warren Wilson. I am just getting on my feet post-grad and am struggling financially.
Unfortunately, my sweet 3-year-old cat, Kibby, has been diagnosed with IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease). It’s been a rough few months trying to remedy her illness. Lots of vomiting, constipation, bloating, etc. After a severe flare-up, I took her to the vet and they suspected IBD.
Our vet recommended a hydrolyzed diet, specifically Hills Science Z/D food sensitivities. After finding out how pricey it would be ($100 for 24 5.5oz cans), I reached out to Asheville Humane Society, who have kindly helped me the past two months. They are sadly unable to continue helping me, though I understand that those funds need to be allocated elsewhere.
I am creating this GoFundMe to hopefully find some relief in managing her diagnosis.
Frequent vet appointments, therapeutic diets, and probiotics are the only way to manage this, but it is very expensive. I am still paying an emergency vet bill back and would love to put some of the money I raise here towards that as well.
If you are able to give anything, I would be so grateful. Thank you for even considering. -Kibby and I
