I am a 100% disabled combat wounded veteran and self published author of the multi-award winning book "No Tougher Duty, No Greater Honor", which is about my 3 tours a as forward operating body bagger in Iraq. I need funds for me and my caregiver (wife) to fly out to California to do a podcast with Paul Gilmartin (Mental illness Happy Hour) in LA and a podcast with Jocko Willink (Leadership & Discipline) in San Deigo. These funds will cover the flight to LA, the hotel stays, food, the transportation to San Deigo and back, and flight back home to Ohio. This trip could highlight my already multi-award winning book into the national spotlight and thus giving me an opportunity to a new career that I would be able to perform with my disabilities incurred in military service. 

My book is about my role as a Mortuary Affairs Marine and is the only book ever published that discusses battlefield recoveries of our fallen servicemen & women. Here in Ohio, it is already being used at Wright State University to train and prepare civilian psycologists, psychiatrists, and mental health social workers to help military veterans with severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The professor states that my book is unique in that I openly convey my emotions and thought processes as i am talking about each traumatic experience. So in that light, this book is valuable.

Whenever I am interviewed (please check out my interviews on www.notougherduty.com) I discuss how writing saved my life, and I use my book as an example to help inspire other combat veterans to heal through "journaling". My mission is to help make a difference in the suicide rate that plauges our military veterans.
