Hello,
After weeks of trying, we finally rescued this beautiful cat-now named Filo!
Filo had skin cancer (from the sun) and his ears were removed in 2024 and he was released to the streets, where he lived (photo one). However, four months ago, the cancer returned and he was scratching his ears and developed open and infected wounds.
We caught him on Wednesday 16th July and he stayed with a foster carer for two days (photos two and three). He is in a hospital, being treated by the same veterinarian whom treated him before.
Whilst his wounds may look bad, this vet has confirmed that Filo is not suffering, not in pain and there is no need to put him to sleep! In the vet’s words: “He’s a fighter. We’re going to help him live a decent life.”
The last photo (five) is from today (21st July)! As you can see, the wounds are healing, he looks fresher and more vibrant and today he will receive treatment for the inside of his ears.
Just one day after being rescued, Filo allowed himself to be gently stroked. He leaned into the touch. After everything he’s been through… he still wants love (photo four).
This beautiful young man has lived on the streets his whole life and battled with cancer alone, yet he had the strength to survive, whilst being unwell. This strength shows us that he wants to live.
For the first time in his life, Filo has a forever home waiting for him. He will be: safe, cared for, fed, watered, feel secure, have a family, cosy bed and be loved. He will never return to the streets!
Please help us to raise the £320 for Filo’s transport and treatment so he can get the life he desperately needs, deserves and clearly wants.
Please donate anything you can because literally every penny counts!
Also, please share Filo’s Go Fund Me page on every platform possible to as many people as you can :)
Please help us to give Filo the life he needs and deserves so he no longer has to fight to survive and can live a peaceful life in a wonderful forever home..
Thank you so much from the rescuers and of course, from Filo xXxXx
