My name is Charlie Clements.
Just over a year ago I met Pradeep Moun, even though I had seen him around the gym for about a year or so before. At one point he asked to train with me so I took him under my wing. Over the course of the next year Moun and I trained almost daily while sharing stories of our victories, defeats and struggles of living in our small town as outsiders. Through this we became close friends. I discovered that Moun has a very big heart was constantly helping the people around him, so his values were very similar to mine.
Moun worked full time as an engineer at a local company while spending his spare time studying for all the various tests and fulfillment he needed to obtain his Canadian permanent residency. With only a few weeks of waiting left to go and being 95% done with the processes he suddenly fell ill and was hospitalized and then diagnosed with a double kidney failure, causes unknown.
Mouns story is below....
A Dream Deferred: My Urgent Plea for Help to Save my Life*
I am Moun pradeep, 31 year old immigrant
After years of perseverance, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication, I was on the cusp of achieving my Canadian dream. Just days away from securing my permanent residency, I thought my future was finally within reach. But fate had a cruel twist in store.
Tragically, I received a devastating diagnosis: both my kidneys have failed. A life-saving kidney transplant is now my only hope. But in a country I thought would be my haven, I faced with an unimaginable reality: I am alone. No family, no loved ones to lean on, and a daunting medical journey ahead.
The financial burden is crushing. Transplant costs, medical bills, and recovery expenses are mounting, and left wondering how i will make ends meet. Your kindness can be my lifeline. Every donation brings me closer to:
- Securing the transplant that could saves my life
-Accessing critical medical care and support
- Rebuilding a life in Canada, a country that has given me so much hope
my story is one of resilience, determination, and courage. I have fought tirelessly for a chance to thrive in Canada, and now I am counting on your compassion to get me through this dark chapter.
Now after having all the doctors information, the decision is made for Moun to return to India with his mom and dad to be able to receive a transplant right away (within 30days) through the privatized health care system at one of the best kidney specialist hospitals in the area.
Update - Good News
I’m happy to share that a couple travelling to India has kindly agreed to accompany Moun during his health journey and help ensure he arrives home safely so he can begin the process of restoring his health.
With this support now in place, I will no longer be needing the funds that were raised and will be returning all donations.
If anyone would prefer to have their contribution forwarded directly to Moun to support his ongoing needs, I would be more than happy to do so - just let me know.
Anyone who donated please private message me to provide an email address to return their funds or to advise to forward their donations Moun's kidney transplant fund. He needs to raise over $20,000.00 USD.
Anyone wishing to donate directly to the fund can do so here:
Thank you all for your kindness, generosity, and willingness to support. It truly means so much.
Any amount that you can donate is of huge help, and so so appreciated.
