Fundraiser for the Prada Family

The Prada family came to the United States four years ago in search of a better life for their children and away from the threat of violence from armed paramilitaries. Since arriving, the Pradas have worked hard in establishing roots in San Diego, with Sandro working as a maintenance repairman at a hotel and Jessica taking care of their children, Marlon (age 13), Dana (age 5) and Caleb (age 2), who was born in the United States.

Unfortunately, since arriving, the Pradas’s asylum case and subsequent appeal was denied, with all legal efforts exhausted. ICE has required the family to self-deport by April 10th back to Colombia. We are asking for funds to cover their flight costs back, and any funds exceeding the cost of the tickets for the family of 5 will go towards their resettlement costs as they rebuild their lives in Colombia.
