This fundraiser is being created on behalf of Michael and Brittney Gray and their 7 children.

On April 6th Michael had a seizure that ultimately led him to the Antelope Valley emergency room where he was informed that there was a lesion and swelling on his brain. On April 12th 2023 After several days he was released from an inpatient stay at AV and directed to follow up with out patient healthcare services . On April 13th 2023, Michael began experiencing numbness and seizure activity in his left leg and returned to AV hospital. He was told that his symptoms were due to dehydration and was again directed to seek outpatient care with Kaiser . On May 1st of 2023 after 3 weeks of his condition worsening and being unable to get an appt with Kaiser Brittney and Michael made the trip from Boron Ca to Panorama City Ca , to seek help at an actual Kaiser Emergency Room. During this 3rd visit a mass was seen on Michaels brain. From Panorama City Michael was transferred to Kaiser hospital in Los Angeles. A neurosurgeon then informed them the location of the mass made it inoperable and any attempts to remove the mass would leave Michael with extreme neurological deficits but a biopsy would need to be done . The biopsy’s was completed on May 3rd 2023 , and Michael was released to heal at home on May 5th 2023. On May 23rd, day 20 and nearly 6 weeks after his first symptoms , Michael went to his post op and still was not given any real answers about his biopsy results.

Finally, today May 30th 2023 , Michael and his wife Brittney received the biopsy results. The results were not what he and his family had prayed for. Michael has a glioblastoma . This is an extremely aggressive type of brain cancer and there are no curative treatment plans for this diagnosis. Michaels prognosis does not look very promising but he will be undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments in hopes of slowing down the progression of the cancer for as long as possible.

As we pray that god keeps his hand in Michaels treatment and allows him as much time here with his wife and 7 children as possible , it is my hope that we can show them some human kindness and help them with the inevitable financial burden that this diagnosis will bring .

Michael loves his wife and children more than words can express. I know that the stress of being unable to work and financially provide for them as he always has is going to be huge factor in keeping his spirits up during this trying time . He has already been out of work for 6+ weeks. He will surely qualify for disability benefits it will only be a fraction of what he typically brings home to support his family.

All funds donated will go directly to Michael and Brittney to cover daily expenses and medical expenses as they navigate through this difficult time.
