Muchas gracias.
The Munoz family is at a loss of words for the unexpected death of Juan Jose Munoz Castillo, a 55-year-old Princeton resident, who’s loved and cherished by his family and friends. He is well known for his skills as a cook and the ability to make those around him laugh.
After the death of his son, my brother— Juan J Munoz II, 25, my father fell into a depressing state.
He had gone through multiple surgeries and procedures, so he wasn’t always at his healthiest— then on top of that, he’s hit with the tragic loss of his son. It wrecked him and changed the way he viewed everything. And around the one year date of my brother's funeral, my father wasn’t doing well. He complained Sunday night about a headache of which he only informed a friend who dropped him off home but moved on since they believed it would pass. He fainted later that night.
As a few hours went by he received calls and text messages of which went into voicemail and had not been replied to. It was at this point where I was informed, I made my way to his job just to make sure that what I was hearing was true, and he hadn’t shown up to work— Shortly after I made my way to his apartment, and there he was.
The cause of death is still unknown to us. But we’ll know soon. The suspicion is that he fainted and no one was around to report it.
He once fainted at work and was transported to Princeton Hospital. So we believe it may have happened again.
I ask from the heart that we receive as much support as possible, anything helps— I’m only 18 years old, and have officially become the only male example to his daughter, my little sister Jennifer Munoz, who’s 7 years old.
My mother is broken into pieces, she loved him very much even through all the hard times. She was there for him throughout all the times she needed to be.
We plan to have his viewing at Mather Hodge funeral home this Friday at some point in the afternoon followed by a burial service. More information shall be provided by me on his Facebook page. If you’d like to come please do so and inform any friends that knew him.
At times like these, the best thing to do is: be there for a family. The last goodbyes to my dear father.
