For a few months 4 year oldEli has been having some bad days. Days that include not being able to walk, not being able to dress himself or get himself to the bathroom. After many appointments between our local doctor and their pediatrician, enough was enough and Eli was admitted to University of Iowa Children's hospital. Many blood test, scans and a bone marrow biopsy have finally narrowed down Eli's condition. At this point we are waiting for a final word but it is sounding like a chronic bone disease. A disease that will require a lifetime of doctors appointments. Katie and Marcus have spent the week in Iowa City missing days of work. And not to mention missing their 4 other children at home. I know Katie and Marcus are only asking for prayers and both having a hard time asking for any sort of help. For as many people as this family has given to ,even when they didn't have much to give, I think it's time we rally around them and give back. All funds raised will help support the many doctor bills Eli has currently and help with the many trips and days to be spent in Iowa City. Every little bit helps! Most importantly say a little prayer for Eli, his family and his team of doctors.
