Funds for my Grandma Stephanie Curtis' Cremation and Burial

Hello,

My name is Niki Cappelen. I am creating this Gofundme as my grandmother passed away unexpectedly on August 12th, 2024. Her name was Stephanie Curtis, and she was one of the most important people in my world. My grandmother struggled from many health issues throughout her life, including rheumatoid arthritis, heart issues, and surviving sepsis three times. She was residing in a nursing home in Sauk Rapids, MN, where she had recently moved to.

On the morning of August 12th, my mother and I received a call that she was unresponsive and had passed away. She appeared peaceful and it seemed she passed in her sleep. She was a very diligent person, but she unfortunately did not prepare monetary funds for a burial or cremation.

This is not something that we ever expected to take on, but this has devasted our family in so many ways. As a small family, we do not have the income to pay for these important things out of our pocket. My mother, Danielle Cappelen, myself, and my younger brother, Xanos Cappelen, were really the ones who took care of her in her last few years of life. She was a beautiful soul who could make you smile at any time. She was more than just my grandmother, she was my best friend. My mother would talk to her everyday, and now we need to learn to function without her.

This fund would support her cremation fees, burial fees, and headstone fees.

She was loved by many. Any donation would be appreciated and would help greatly.
