Support for The Marsden Family

Stefanie and Troy are two of the most caring and giving individuals I know. They are a Christian family who always puts God first but 2018 has been a year of challenges for both of them. In early January, Troy was experiencing extreme headaches, unstableness and was admitted to ICU in Plano where he endured multiple neurological tests, an MRI and EKG scans, biopsies, surgeries and many medical prodcedures trying to find a diagnosis for him. Then in mid January, he was admitted to UTSW where he started his care and treatment under some of the top neurologists in the country. However, with that admission meant more scans, more MRI's, more medical tests, more assessments by neurologists, rheumatologists, angiograms and also lots of waiting and praying for a diagnosis. On January 24th, Troy was officially diagnosed with Neurological Vasculitis and began treatment of steroids and cytoxin, a form of CHEMO, to help reduce the swelling in Troy's brain.

Now fast forward to August and while Troy is improving and doing a lot better, he has not been able to work, has endured six chemo treatments, 8 months of physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy and is still waiting for his ability to drive again and do all the normal things we take for granted on a daily basis.

AND as if they haven't  endured enough this year, on August 3rd, Stefanie was admitted to the hospital for viral meningitis. She woke that morning with a fever, vomiting and an extreme pain. She spent 5 days in the hospital having medical tests and around the clock isolated treatment. And while her illness is something that will run it 's course and she'll be back to normal in no time, it was still a major set back as she prepares to help the boys return to school and a new routine with a new set of medical bills.

Now, if you know the Marsden's, they have a strong belief in God, both are very active in their church and both give so much to their family, friends, church and community. They have handled each hurdle or bump with grace but have so many friends and family asking how they might can help them. When Troy was first diagnosed, they received many meals, visits, prayers and support however, with Stef's recent hospital stay, my heart and many of those who love them have wanted to start a go-fund me account to maybe take a small portion of burden off their plates so that they can focus on healing and taking care of their family.

My goal is to raise as much as we can to help them with medical expenses from Troy's multiple hospital visits, extensive medical testing and therapy, Stefanie's hospital bills, future medical bills and anything else that might arise for them as Troy continues to heal and improve on his journey. Any amount big or small will be helpful and will be received with love and appreciation as we work together to help them move forward after such a difficult year.

Thanks  in advance for your love and support!
