Stacey Reardon's Recovery Funds

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Belinda and I'm fundraising for my mother, Stacey.

Anyone who has known Stacey for even a short time, knows that she is a woman who needs to stay busy. Stacey is strong both physically as well as mentally. This is likely why at the end of October, she got home from work and decided that she could quickly do “just one more thing” before she left to meet the family for her mother’s birthday dinner. So, even though she promised to wait, she climbed up a heavy-duty painter’s ladder to fix a gutter guard, before she knew it she found herself falling from the top of the roof. Getting caught up in the ladder on the way down. The result, TWO broken legs (Tibia and Fibula on both sides), left ankle fracture, and multiple fractures in her feet. So, in a blink of an eye, her life changed. 12 weeks of non-weight bearing on both legs, and then she’ll start the hard work. “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans”.
My sister and I have received multiple requests from friends and family on how they can help during this extremely difficult time. Some have specifically suggested that we set up a GoFundMe. Just discussing this has been difficult for my mom. To say that she’s proud and private is an understatement. Hard work has always come as second nature to her and asking for help is almost unbearable for her. My mom helps strangers in need without hesitation, but she’s not known to ask for help. As many of you know, these past few years have been filled with trials. We’ve been so thankful for the outpouring of love and support over these past weeks and honestly over the years.
We met with her Ortho Surgeon this week and he said that although she is healing, she’s looking at a year of recovery. This is a marathon and not a sprint. If you should choose to donate this is what your donations would go toward. We thank you all, for everything.
• Out of pocket fees for ER and Inpatient stay after her accident
• Acute Care Inpatient Care (Insurance denied part of her stay as “not
medically necessary” because we appealed her early discharge due to no home health service provided.)
• Weekly occupational and physical therapy home health sessions
• Medications
• House expenses
