Funds for Sebastian SPECT Brain Scan
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Lorena and I’m helping my dear friend, Sebastian, to race money.
The Funds will support the test, SPECT brain scan, to help him heal his brain injury.
STORY
On April 2020, Sebastian had a severe concussion. The concussion left him with constant pain in his head and intense headaches. Three days after the concussion, he started having seizures, resulting in consisten neck and back pain. It is very difficult for him to concentrate and to sleep.
Sebastian was diagnosed in the Emerency room with traumatic brain injury and post concussion syndrome (PCS), a poorly understood, chronic condition. PCS is a fancy way to say that most Doctors struggle to understand why some concussions don't heal and they acknowledge that there are long term, unpredictable, and some times progressive neurological consequences from these injuries.
He has done everything possible to heal, he's seen neurologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, tried various specialized treatments, like weekly oxygen treatments. Many of these have offered some benefit, but some symtoms persist that make his life very difficult, especially being a father of three.
Sebastian is one of the most loving and caring fathers I have ever known. Before the accident he was always joyous, and now he feels overwhelm with his inability to be fully present with his wife and three girls.
As soon he starts to have a normal life, he relapses again and his condition seems to worsened, and it takes him days to recover. The doctors, keep saying to rest, but they don't have a clear explanation and they just keep giving him medications.
However, we have hope, with the unique SPECT brain scan and program from Dr Amen, that specializes in long term PCS patients and has great results. At Amen clinic, they use brain single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging as a tool to diagnose and treat patients. SPECT allows them to look inside the brain in 3D, and help them to understant the underlying brain patterns associated with his issues and to pinpoint the right treatments. https://www.amenclinics.com/brain-health/brain-scans/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIuJvij_u07AIV_hitBh2DtQwyEAAYASAAEgKHNfD_BwE https://youtu.be/esPRsT-lmw8
