The impacts of covid-19 are seemingly endless – especially when it affects our ability to take care of our loved ones. 

While vet visits are never a walk in the park, they are made even more expensive and heartbreaking with this pandemic.

Salem is my everything. He unfortunately has contracted a very serious kidney infection which led to him being hospitalized in January and just a few days ago for several days, both times.

During the chaos that was the beginning of this pandemic there was a misdiagnosis that could have cost Salem his life. Luckily, an emergency vet opened their doors to us and saved Salem’s life just in time.

To add insult to injury, covid-19 has left me unemployed and unable to keep up with hospital costs. Those who know me know I would do absolutely anything to keep my baby healthy – luckily, I have some amazing friends who have been able to help Salem and I get through this together thus far.

So many of us are stretched so thin, my heart truly aches. If the situation wasn’t what it is, I wouldn’t ask but the truth of the matter is that I need your help.
