Hi my name is James, i'm a single dad to two incredible children. Their mum left nearly 5 years ago when my youngest was 7, only seeing them a handful of times in the first two years. This in turn has had an incredible impact on my kids, especially my daughter who already suffers from undiagnosed neurodiversity problems, amongst other things.

Fast forward to my story now.

Im fed up of keep getting fobbed off by the very people who are supposed to be giving me the help and support, I need to move forward with help for my daughter. With the waiting list being years long, and with funding being cut just before important appointments, meaning Im back to square one again. Im at the end of my rope & need help. My daughter has just started Secondary School, so needless to say this thas not been an easy transition for her or me. Countless days of not being able to get her in, due to her factors and problems.

I need diagnosis so people will start taking us seriously. My daughter is very good at masking the symptoms and now I myself am getting sick as a result of all the added stress and the feeling like no one believes us. If I could afford to get the diagnosis privately this would help my daughter and myself immensely. This is putting me really out of my comfort zone asking for help like this but I need answers, so we can begin to learn to move and live with this. Every day is like walking on eggshells not knowing version of my daughter im going to get. Never knowing if ive said the right thing of if I will have caused a massive argument, because I said something in slightly the wrong tone. I could go into so much more detall but in the hopes to protect my daughters privacy.
