On August 23, 2021, Christian missionary Robert Stauble was struck by a van while on his motorcycle in the Philippines. He was later brought to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead. Bob's ministry was focused on teaching youth through the Bible. He had 3,000 elementary students this year who would receive the Bible lessons and he taught multiple classes at a local seminary that trains young pastors. At the time of his death, Bob was leaving an elementary school where he was dropping off Bible lessons. It is beautiful to know that Bob was serving the Filipino people right up until his last breath.

 

Bob left behind his wife, Nancy. Due to the surge of Covid-19 in the Philippines it was decided that she should return to the United States as soon as possible and join their three grown children. These recent days have held Nancy's two hardest goodbyes: to her loving husband of 30 years and to the country and community that they served for 27 years.

Nancy donated almost everything that they owned and arrived to the US with just two small boxes of belongings. She will be living in New York with her oldest daughter.

 

After 27 years overseas, Nancy (65 years old) has many big life adjustments as she moves to the United States permanently. She will need winter clothes, a reliable car, flights to visit Bob's family, and funds for general life expenses moving forward.
