Funds For Mindfulness Training Cert

Dear friends and family~ as most of you know, I have recently completed a 350 hour training to be a 'mindfulness' meditation teacher through Mindfulness Northwest in Bellingham, WA. My goals then, as it remains to this day, is to help others cope and heal from pain, stress, anxiety, and depression; to help others learn how to enjoy more aspects of living; to learn how to be kind to ourselves and others while news of the world and technology-stressors chip away at our peace of mind.
Since graduation in June, I have been teaching Meditation for Beginners; Loving-kindness meditation; contemplative walks ("Forest Bathing") in natural environments, as well as adding mindfulness methods to my massage treatments.
A few weeks ago, Mindfulness Northwest announced a new training in the Seattle area~ certification to teach "Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction" (MBSR). This is the "gold-standard", often hospital-based 8 week program, to help individuals cope with- as I mentioned- the pain and stress from illness and disease, for the individuals or their care-givers.
Bill Moyers interviewed the creator of MBSR, Jon Kabat-Zinn, in a documentary which followed an MBSR class that Jon was teaching, following the students week -to-week, as they shared their experiences: you can get a taste of the program by watching: "Healing and the Mind"... 42 minutes, found on YouTube if this link doesn't work:

This will be my ticket to augment, then eventually let go of my so successful-yet now physically painful-massage therapy practice as I lean towards my 70's.
MBSR Training will take 2 years: the first year- training as a participant-observer, then student-teaching, then taking the reins as the instructor, with many hours of support from certified, well-qualified instructors . The second year (2020), I will teach 3 eight week courses in my area as a full-fledged instructor, documenting my skills throughout. Mindfulness Northwest will continue to provide support along the way. I will be part of a fine group of caring souls and a stellar organization!
Go Fund Me can help me gather up the financial resources to begin, and finish this training while I continue to do what I need to do to pay the monthly bills, massaging, sewing and teaching meditation.
2019's tuition will be $3450, which can be paid in 3 segments...the same goes for the next year: $3450 in 3 segments.
Assuming that I can find the funds, class will start September 23rd.
I appreciate your consideration of this request. This path is the perfect fit for my career into my 70's and beyond. I also invite you to call me to talk and answer any questions that you might have.
Love and thanks,
Ellen Falconer
